And now for Gallery2 - Pulau Tiga

1. The front gate of the temple.
2. There's a railroad track right in front of the gate. I wanted to lie down on it and have a photo taken, but ... my superiorly-evolved instinct for self-preservation prevented my doing so.
3. Special thanks to Haji Asrie Omar...
4. Fast forward, we are now on Pulau Tiga, the island used for the first season of survivor.
There after, a resort sprouted up on the shore of this island. Quite pleasant though, still a bit 'rough', not those obscenely overdeveloped ones.
This is a pix of the clear waters just below the jetty.
5. The pix of the resort.
6,7. I wish to relax there again...

And so after the Klias River tour, we adjourned to the sleepy little hamlet of Beaufort.

...resist the temptation to pronounce it 'properly', it's pronounced 'BOH'-FOURTh. (With a silent 'h') ...

Gallery1 - Beaufort

1. view from our hotel windows reveals a picturesque ... backlane. The type of place that one could retire in, quiet, quaint surroundings...
2,3. Kheng Keat is the model for our hotel room.
4. Bathroom is generously big and clean...
5,6. Front view of Jasaria Hotel. The rightmost van was our transport for our tour.
7. CNF Supermarket - a typical small town supermarket, where the hypermarkets have not extended their tendrils to. (Yet.)
8. UMNO HQ Local Chapter...
9,10. Is this the "town square" of this little hamlet? A big parking lot actually.
11. Welcome to ComWel restaurant. FREE Internet access available here.
12. The air is fresher than many places during the early morning walk here in BOHFOURTh.
13. Super Computer.
14. Doggies watching life go on.
15. Don't blink now, but that bitch (the brown one) actually mounted the black (male) one soon after this photo. I couldn't believe my eyes, but I guess times are a-changing...
16. Pleasant familiarity! KL prices in Sabah!
17. Milo O Ping = RM1.80.
18. After that we went sightseeing at one temple.. this is Melvin. Say hello, Melvin!

Interview With The UltraBeast has Matured! (comparatively, somewhat ..)

Well then respected folks.. It is almost two months since this site's creation/birth/launch/unleashing on White Day 2008 ...

Before this, there was a series of wanderings in wilderness of the online content management system scene in search of the most convenient and powerful, versatile way of posting and managing easily-formatted content online.. both text and photos - as in both thumbnails, and the full-size high-res original images - at the same time intelligently preloading in an invisible, non-intrusive manner.. ohoho... on this count especially am I most happy...

And as (the venerable ancient Chinese sage) Mencius' mother (bless her good self) moved three (3) times to settle for the most conducive environment for the development of her offspring... the same number of times I have moved* (bless my good self)

And, isn't it coincidental, that I notice, right now, that it is Mother's Day today! So, all good folks, please express your utmost gratitude to your mother for her bringing you into this world ... regardless that it was without your consent.

( and in that same way was Interview With The UltraBeast brought to you... so does that make me a mother... of sorts? So, commend me today ~! :D )

*with some sojourns into not a few loose standalone web pages somewhere along the way... that I'm glad that everything has come together now here at I,UltraBeast.

Still, the archives of the previous blogs hold quite a sizeable number of fond reminiscences... my heartfelt 'arigatou' to them.

Happy Surfing, friends ~! :D
